As for our story, Muir Software, Inc. is a privately-held corporation founded in 1997. All stock is currently held by the employees of the corporation. The four main founders collectively have nine decades of experience in the production of software for the finance industry. Our CTO was intimately involved in the development of the OFX Specification before its first release back in 1997 and built the first production-class OFX server in the world. She and Muir Software have been building them ever since. We have partnered with Online Strategic Systems Corp (OSS), a Dallas-based software and professional services organization, for sales and services for our products.

MUIR - WHAT'S BEHIND THE NAME?

After many long walks in Muir Woods National Monument, our founders decided to name our company after the park and the man who inspired the park, John Muir. He lived between 1838-1914 and was an exceptionally brilliant man of his time.

Primary environmentalists of the modern era, founder of the Sierra Club called for the preservation of Yosemite National Park inspirational author ...and much, much more.
